Questions international clients ask me
Can you work with companies outside Türkiye?
Yes. Most of my work is for international companies that buy from, sell to or ship through Türkiye and Asia. I work remotely in English and Turkish, aligned to your time zone, and I am on the ground in Istanbul whenever physical presence is needed.
What does a typical engagement look like?
It usually starts with a defined project such as finding a supplier, fixing a customs problem or setting up a shipping lane. Many clients then keep me on a monthly retainer as their trade operations manager in Türkiye.
Do you replace a freight forwarder or customs broker?
No. I coordinate and supervise them on your behalf. I select vetted forwarders and brokers, negotiate rates, check every document and make sure nothing slips. You keep one point of contact instead of five.
Which industries do you cover?
I have managed trade operations for optical products, hygiene technologies and consumer goods, and the process skills transfer across industries. If your product needs special certification I tell you honestly what I can and cannot cover.
How do your fees work?
Project work is quoted as a fixed fee after the discovery call. Ongoing operations management is a monthly retainer. You always see the scope and the price in writing before we start.
How fast can you start?
A discovery call can usually happen within 2 or 3 business days. For urgent customs or shipment problems I do my best to respond the same day.
